Every residence in San Diego, held to one standard
We furnish and maintain each one ourselves rather than listing whatever a landlord already owns. That is the whole difference: you are choosing an address, not gambling on an interior.
- Designer furniture
- Furnished by our own design team to one specification — the same in Irvine as in Manhattan.
- A kitchen you can cook in
- Equipped down to the cookware. Dinner at home on a Tuesday, not another restaurant bill.
- Hotel-grade linens
- Linens and towels laundered and replaced by our own housekeeping staff.
- Wi-Fi and utilities
- High-speed Wi-Fi and a smart TV, with utilities inside the monthly rate.
- Laundry in the residence
- A washer and dryer inside most residences. No coins, no basement, no per-item charge.
- Parking arranged
- Sorted at the building before you arrive, where the building offers it.
The building comes with it
A World Class residence sits inside a building chosen for what it puts downstairs. Every address we hold in San Diego has a pool and a gym; most add a clubhouse with rooms you can take a call in.
Living in San Diego
San Diego is a coastal city that also happens to be a working port, a naval base and a biotech capital, and downtown is where those overlap. Our residences are there — Diega in East Village and Pacific Gate on the waterfront — rather than out in the beach neighbourhoods, which means the harbour, the ballpark and the Gaslamp are walking distance instead of a drive.
The waterfront runs from the Embarcadero north past the Midway and the cruise terminal down to Seaport Village and the convention centre. East Village behind it holds Petco Park, the central library and most of the newer building; the Gaslamp Quarter between them is the Victorian block that carries the city's nightlife.
What downtown buys is optionality. Balboa Park and the zoo are five minutes north, La Jolla and the biotech corridor at Torrey Pines about twenty up the 5, Coronado a short drive or ferry across the bay, and the border at San Ysidro half an hour south on the trolley.
The weather is the least surprising thing about the city and still the most persuasive: a narrow band either side of twenty degrees, most of the year, which makes an outdoor amenity floor something you use in February rather than photograph.
Where things are
- East Village
- Petco Park, the central library and most of downtown's newer residential building.
- The Embarcadero
- The working waterfront from the Midway north down to Seaport Village and the convention centre.
- The Gaslamp Quarter
- The Victorian blocks between the two, and the bulk of the city's restaurants and bars.
- Balboa Park
- Five minutes north — the museums, the gardens and the zoo.
- La Jolla and Torrey Pines
- Twenty minutes up the 5: the coastline, UCSD and the biotech corridor.
Staying in San Diego
Thirty nights. Residences are taken by the month rather than the night.
Designer furniture, a full kitchen, linens and towels, high-speed Wi-Fi, a smart TV and in-unit laundry, with utilities inside the monthly rate.
Downtown — Diega in East Village and Pacific Gate on the waterfront — so the harbour, Petco Park and the Gaslamp are walking distance.
Less than most of Southern California. Downtown is walkable and the trolley runs to the border and out to Mission Valley, though the beaches and La Jolla are easier with one.
Neither — book the dates you need and extend if your plans move.
