Every residence in Weehawken, held to one standard
We furnish and maintain each one ourselves rather than listing whatever a landlord already owns. That is the whole difference: you are choosing an address, not gambling on an interior.
- Designer furniture
- Furnished by our own design team to one specification — the same in Irvine as in Manhattan.
- A kitchen you can cook in
- Equipped down to the cookware. Dinner at home on a Tuesday, not another restaurant bill.
- Hotel-grade linens
- Linens and towels laundered and replaced by our own housekeeping staff.
- Wi-Fi and utilities
- High-speed Wi-Fi and a smart TV, with utilities inside the monthly rate.
- Laundry in the residence
- A washer and dryer inside most residences. No coins, no basement, no per-item charge.
- Parking arranged
- Sorted at the building before you arrive, where the building offers it.
The building comes with it
A World Class residence sits inside a building chosen for what it puts downstairs. Every address we hold in Weehawken has a pool and a gym; most add a clubhouse with rooms you can take a call in.
Living in Weehawken
Weehawken is the New Jersey side of the Lincoln Tunnel, on a bluff directly opposite midtown Manhattan. What that buys is the view everyone else pays to look at: the full Manhattan skyline across a mile of river, from the Empire State Building down to the Financial District, out of your own window rather than from a rooftop bar.
The ferry is the reason people choose it. NY Waterway runs from Port Imperial to Midtown West in about eight minutes and to Brookfield Place downtown in about fifteen — a commute that is shorter, and considerably more pleasant, than most trips within Manhattan itself. The light rail runs the waterfront south to Hoboken and Jersey City, and the tunnel is minutes away when you want a car.
The waterfront itself has been rebuilt around the ferry terminal: a park and promenade running the length of the bluff, restaurants at Port Imperial, and a walk south that connects most of the way to Hoboken. Behind it, Weehawken proper is a small residential town of Victorian streets, which is a very different thing to live in than either Manhattan or Jersey City.
For a stay of a month or more the arithmetic is straightforward: you get square footage and a view that Manhattan charges several times over for, at a commute measured in single-digit minutes on a boat.
Where things are
- Port Imperial
- The ferry terminal, the promenade and the restaurants along it — the centre of gravity on this stretch of waterfront.
- The Weehawken bluff
- Hamilton Park and Boulevard East, where the Manhattan view is at its widest.
- Hoboken
- A mile south along the waterfront: the PATH train, Washington Street and the bars.
- Midtown Manhattan
- Eight minutes by ferry to Midtown West, or through the Lincoln Tunnel by car.
- Downtown Manhattan
- About fifteen minutes by ferry to Brookfield Place and the Financial District.
Staying in Weehawken
Thirty nights. Residences are taken by the month rather than the night, which keeps the rate flat and the apartment properly equipped.
Designer furniture, a full kitchen, linens and towels, high-speed Wi-Fi, a smart TV and in-unit laundry, with utilities inside the monthly rate.
About eight minutes by ferry from Port Imperial to Midtown West, and about fifteen to Brookfield Place downtown. The Lincoln Tunnel is minutes away by car.
Most of them do. The buildings sit on the waterfront below the bluff, so the skyline runs across the window from midtown down to the Financial District.
Space and rate. The same monthly budget buys a materially larger residence on this side of the river, and the commute is shorter than plenty of trips within Manhattan.
